Is that Jim White standing mid-way up on
the Natural Entrance stairs? The stairs were
funded by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce
to further prepare caverns increased visitation
and economic stimulus to the area. Eventually
in the eraly 1930s elevators would replace these stairs.
