CARLSBAD — "A woman is like a tea bag you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water," said Eleanor Roosevelt, a remarkable woman who championed human rights throughout the world and changed the lives of millions.
The local American Association of University Women is presenting a Chautauqua performance of the many achievements of Roosevelt. Marilyn Adams of Santa Fe, Chautauqua scholar for the New Mexico Humanities Council, will portray Roosevelt at 7 p.m. Tuesday in room 153 at the New Mexico State University-Carlsbad.
